How do I know if a client received a document?

Our document grids like Invoices, Quotes, etc.  Always show a little email icon next to your clients name.  This email icon has 3 possible states:

• Green: The client definitely received the email.
• Yellow:  The email was sent, but receipt can't be confirmed.
• Red:  The email was not sent.

In all cases you can hover over the icon with your mouse for more information.

What causes a Yellow icon?

Email delivery can not always be 100% guaranteed.  There can be communication errors between networks, messages can be incorrectly flagged as spam, or the clients email application might simply block our tracking mechanism, which would result in a false negative.
